My name’s Oliver, I’ve been an avid fan of F1 video games from well over a decade, playing all the Codemasters games since F1 2010 for thousands of hours combined, plus some of the previous games from Sony (F1 2004, F1 2005, F1 2006/Championship edition).
I’ve got experience racing both online and offline, and decided to put my experience and knowledge to use helping answer common questions searched online regarding the F1 games.
I follow online and real life F1 closely, being a regular subscriber and watched to several YouTubers like Jarno Opmeer, Limitless, Tom97, Matt212 and others, and keep up to date with what’s happening in the main F1 eSports leagues like WOR, PSGL and so on.
This blog probably isn’t going to be massive, but for every game cycle including the current F1 23 one, I will put my experience to use adding relevant content on each of the F1 games, with an special focus on helping newer and struggling players get a better experience, as well as solving common problems/bugs with the games.
My main areas of focus right now will be:
- Car setups and handling information/tips, especially tailored for controller users (a lot of the current information online for the F1 games is for wheel users, but doesn’t always translate well to pad/controller users. On this site, I’ll be geared towards helping pad users specifically).
- Helping new players experiencing handling and general difficulty issues with the F1 games, providing solutions, suggestions and tips for alleviating these problems and making the games challenging but also fun/enjoyable to play.
- Identifying, explaining common bugs/glitches/issues with the games, and providing workarounds/fixes when possible
- Answering common questions about the upcoming and currently released F1 games, providing information that people are searching for.
- I’ve also recently just delved into the MotoGP games, jumping in at the deep end with the very challenging MotoGP 22 game. As I learn the game’s handling, I’ll be posting more setup and FAQ guides that will hopefully help others as well.
