Older Games

Let’s also list the older editions from 2017-2020, which do feature Classic Cars if this is what you’re looking for (F1 2021-23  editions don’t).

  • F1 2020 (Standard Edition) – 16 classic cars (plus 4 more in Deluxe edition), Hanoi and Zandvoort tracks, original planned 2020 season tracks, debut of My Team career. Still a very popular game and still rated as some player’s favourite edition.
  • F1 2019 (Standard Edition) – 18 classic cars (plus 4 more if you get the Deluxe Senna/Prost edition), standard career mode, less aggressive AI, Hockenheim circuit. Still a strong game – I liked driving the 2009 Brawn GP and the 2010 Red Bull on this game.
  • F1 2018 (Headline Edition) – More expensive deluxe edition as standard edition hard to find now. Has 20 classic cars in total with almost the same selection as 2019, but with a few cars missing. Still a highly rated game also, with strong career mode, the pink hyper-soft tyre, debut of Paul Ricard circuit, Hockenheim also available.
  • F1 2017 – First game since 2013 to feature classic cars, with 12 different models available (the 1988 McLaren is only available on day one Special Edition copies, that will be harder to find now. Standard career mode, updated higher downforce handling to match 2017 regulation change.

See here for full comparison lists of the available classic cars for each of these games. Note that for some classic cars, you will need a more expensive Deluxe/Special edition version. But the bulk of them are included in Standard editions.
